The North Little Rock Police Athletic League will sponsor the Haunted Hospital at #1 Pershing Circle beginning Friday, October 9 and continue through Saturday, October 31 when the haunting will end or the last person is scared.

 

Fun can be found at the Family Fun Fest at Dickey-Stephens Park on Saturday, October 10 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be a children’s area with a variety of crafts and activities, family entertainment and a vendor expo featuring arts, crafts and local merchants.

Friday, October 16 from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. meet downtown for the 3^rd Friday Art Walk featuring artists selling paintings, pottery, jewelry and much more. Galleries will be open and restaurants will be running specials.

 

The next weekend, Saturday, October 17 will see over 45,000 people taking to the streets of North Little Rock and Little Rock for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

 

Following the Race for the Cure, Foodies will gather at 6^th and Main Street in downtown North Little Rock for the Argenta Fall Foodie Fest where we celebrate locally grown foods, chefs who use them and the thousands of men and women who just took part in one of the largest events in Arkansas. The chefs will cook on site utilizing foods from the Certified Arkansas Farmers Market. Admission is free. In conjunction with the Argenta Foodie Festival will be the Virginia Clinton Kelly Festival for the Cure offering information on health care. The Argenta Art Market will have artists and local crafters will be onsite during the events.

 

Enthusiasts of World War II aircraft will have a chance to visit the beautifully restored B-17G Flying Fortress “Aluminum Overcast.” One of only 14 Fortress’s still flying; this aircraft is an icon of the Allied strategic bombing effort that helped turn the tide of battle in World War II. This aircraft will be at the North Little Rock Airport on Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25.
