Come play the national sport of Ireland in North Little Rock! Irish Gaelic football resembles soccer with physical contact allowed except you get to use your hands to carry the ball! It also has a much higher scoring rate than soccer. Filled with dramatic leaping catches, fast passing, plenty of off the ball movement and athletic cuts on the run, this sport lets you play the role of receiver, corner back, running back, and linebacker all at the same time! Older than soccer, rugby, and American football, Irish football is the most popular field sport in it's native land and is growing by leaps and bounds here in America.
All you need are cleats and a bottle of water to come have a brilliant time learning a new sport. The team meets on Saturdays at 3p.m. and Tuesday evenings at 7p.m. at Burns Park Soccer Complex Field 22 on the back practice fields.
The club will be running a summer league from June until August. Registration is $40 and all players will receive a shirt and be seeded on teams to insure parity and fun for all. The club also has roster spots available on it's travel team with matches planned against Kansas City, Austin, St. Louis and the North American Championships over Labor Day weekend in Boston!

"Looking North is Looking Good"
North Little Rock's tag line "Looking North is Looking Good" is more than just a catchy phrase -- it also captures the commitment to making this city an interesting and entertaining place to live and visit. North Little Rock is a first-class urban playground for people of all ages. The city's dedication to promoting tourism is shown through the development of several new attractions including the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, Windsong Performing Arts Center, and the Dickey-Stephens Park which opened on April 12, 2007 for the first game in the new home of the Arkansas Travelers ball team.
