"Looking North is Looking Good"

North Little Rock's tag line "Looking North is Looking Good" is more than just a catchy phrase -- it also captures the commitment to making this city an interesting and entertaining place to live and visit.  North Little Rock is a first-class urban playground for people of all ages.  The city's dedication to promoting tourism is shown through the development of several new attractions including the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, Windsong Performing Arts Center, and the Dickey-Stephens Park which opened on April 12, 2007 for the first game in the new home of the Arkansas Travelers ball team.  The opening of the new ball park and these other new attractions are just the tip of the iceberg of the many great things happenings in North Little Rock.  We are proud of our vibrant, growing city!

Certified Arkansas Farmer's Market Now Open!

The first Certified Arkansas Farmer’s Market in Argenta, the heart of historic North Little Rock will be open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. until noon through October.  It is located in the parking lot on Main Street in North Little Rock between 4th and 5th Streets next the Main Street Post Office.  The Market is located on the River Rail Trolley route and has an abundance of free parking around the market.

This is the first Certified Arkansas Farmer’s Market in North Little Rock.  Some of the state’s top local farmers provide all types of local produce, meats, poultry, eggs and plants.   Until now, Arkansas has not had a sanctioned or state supported farmer’s market or terminal market with a mission to support local farmers.   The Certified Arkansas Farmer’s Market is the only statewide market to completely embrace and utilize the Arkansas Grown logo and guidelines.  Everything sold at the market will have been grown through a certified Arkansas Producer, either certified by the market manager, market mentors, and/or the State Plant Board, under the supervision of the CAFM market committee.
